What Is The Difference Between A POP eMail Account And An Email Alias (eMail Forwarding)?
|
A POP eMail Account Is A Full eMail Account, Just Like The One You Have From Your ISP. The eMail Addresses That Are Included With Your Hosting Plan Can Be Used In Place Of, Or Along With Your Current eMail Address. Any Email Addresses That You Configure For Your Domain Will Be In The Format Of anyName@yourDomain.com
eMail Aliasing, Also Known As eMail Forwarding Allows You To Create eMail Addresses That Will Forward All eMail Received To Another eMail Address. For Example, You Could Setup An eMail Address Such As ProductInfo@yourDomain.com And Set It To Forward To You@netcom.com. eMail Aliases Can Also Be Set To Forward To Multiple (up to 19) Addresses. For Example, You Could Setup An eMail Address Such As ProductInfo@yourDomain.com And Set It To Forward To You@netcom.com And yourPartner@aol.com.
|
| How Many Email Addresses Are Included with My Account? How Many Aliases? |
The Number Of eMail Addresses Included Varies From 5 to 500 Accounts, Depending On The hosting Account You Choose. The Number Of eMail Aliases Is Not Limited.

|
| What Are My Incoming And Outgoing Mail Servers? |
In Your eMail Client, The Incoming (pop) And The Outgoing (smtp) Mail Server Should Both Be Set To Mail.YourDomain.Com.
|
| My Incoming Mail Works, But My Outgoing Mail Is Being Rejected By The Mail Server. |
Outgoing Mail Server Requires A User Name And Password To Send Mail. You Will Need To Configure Your eMail Client To Send Authentication Information With Outgoing eMail.

Then Log On Using The User Name You Just Created (productinfo). Select The Option To Set A Vacation Message. Any eMail Received At This Account Will Now Be Sent An Automatic Reply With The Contents Of The Vacation Message.
|
| What Is A "Catch-All" Email Address And How Do I Create One? |
A Catch-All eMail Alias Is Used To Forward Any eMail That Is Sent To Your Domain That Is Addressed To A User That Does Not Exist To Any Address You Specify. For Example, If A Client Is Sending A Message To Tom@yourDomain.com, But Makes A Typing Error And Sends The eMail To tmo@yourDomain.com, The Message Would Be Forwarded To The User You Specified In The Catch-All Address.
