Installing Drupal on IIS
This page covers the installation and configuration of Drupal. Drupal may be installed in the root www directory, or to any sub directory of your web site. When installing to a subdirectory of your site, you should use the control panel to set the directory as an application.
How it's done

Subscribe to the
Drupal security
mailing list. This low volume mailing list will alert you to Drupal security enhancements.
Download the latest version of Drupal from the
Drupal.org
web site.
Unzip the Drupal files and upload them to your web space, via FTP.
If there is already a web.config on your site, rename it and upload the drupal version of web.config
Use the control panel to create a MySql database, to hold the Drupal data.
Begin configuring Drupal, by visiting your web site or temporary URL
Enter the MySql database details into the Drupal configuration.
Enter a user name and password for the site administrator, then complete the install.
The Drupal install should now be complete. Visit your web site or temp URL to view the site.
