Installing NopCommerce on IIS This page covers the installation and configuration of NopCommerce. NopCommerce may be installed in the root www directory, or to any sub directory of your web site. When installing to a subdirectory of your site, you should use the control panel to set the directory as an application.


How it's done
Example NopCommerce installation.

• Register on the NopCommerce web site. This will allow you to post on the NopCommerce support forums, and alert you to NopCommerce security enhancements or upgrades.
  
  
• Download the latest "web (no source)" install package of NopCommerce from the codeplex web site.
     
  
  
• Unzip the NopCommerce files and upload them to your web space, via FTP.
  If there is already a web.config on your site, rename it and upload the NopCommerce version of web.config
   
  
  
• Use the control panel to create a MS SQL Server database, to hold the NopCommerce data.
  
  
  
• Begin configuring NopCommerce, by visiting your web site or temporary URL.
  It may take sever minutes for the initial page load.
   
  
  
• Enter the MS SQL Server database details into the NopCommerce configuration and setup the database.
     
  
  
• Enter a user name and password for the site administrator, then complete the install.
   
  
  
• The NopCommerce install should now be complete. Visit your web site or temp URL to view the site.
